Metric socket countersunk head screws. DIN BS ISO Materials and Finishes. Steel /Self colour. Stainless steel/Self colour. Dimensions d. Portland Bolt manufactures countersunk bolts from 1/2″ diameter through /2″ diameter in most ASTM, AASHTO, and SAE specifications including, A Grade A, A, and Grade 8. Countersunk bolts have a head angle of approximately 80 degrees. Bolts are available with and without a slot in the head. Made to Din specifications in metric sizes, Anzor's range of Countersunk Socket Screws are mostly fully threaded but part threaded in some sizes.

Griping Gaging Length, LG. The grip gaging length is the distance, measured parallel to the axis of the screw, from the bearing surface of the head to the first complete full form thread under the head see Table 1B. The body length is the length, measured parallel to the axis of countersunk bolt dimensions screw, of the unthreaded portion of the shank See table 1B.
The point shall be flat or slightly concave countersunk bolt dimensions chamfered. The plane of the point shall be approximately normal to the axis of the screw. The chamfer shall extend slightly below the root of the thread and the edge between the flat and chamfer may be slightly rounded.
The included angle of the point should be approximately countersunk bolt dimensions degrees.
Chamfering of screw sizes up to and including size 8 0. For larger sizes, longer lengths, and corrosion resistant steel screws, the surface roughness of the screws prior to plating shall not exceed micro-inches arithmetical average on countersunk bolt dimensions body see Note 2fillet see Note 8 and head bearing surfaces.
Metrics in Engineering - Metric Fasteners (Screws, Nuts, Washers, and Bolts)
Normally, it shall be sufficient to ascertain that these surfaces on screws have the equivalent of a smooth countersunk bolt dimensions finish by visual comparison with know surface standards.
However, where it is practical and deemed necessary to measure these surfaces with commercially available equipment, roughness measurements shall be taken axially on the body and fillet surfaces, and circumferentially on the bearing surface.
On socket screw drawings when the distance from the bearing surface of the head to the threading is dimensioned, regardless of the type of thread representation, the dimension should be noted countersunk bolt dimensions indicate whether Body Length or Grip Length is required. See Table 7 for spline socket dimensions, and Appendix 1 for gaging of spline sockets.
See Table 6 for hexagon countersunk bolt dimensions dimensions, and Appendix 1 for gaging of hexagon sockets.
Hexagon and Spline Socket Head Cap Screws shall be designated by the following data in the sequence shown: Holes have a countersink added to them when countersunk bolt dimensions flat head screw or rivet will be used so that the screw head doesn't stick out above the surface of the leaf.
This requirement frequently comes up with hinges because when the hinge swings closed, there is often little room for fastener heads sticking up from the surface of the hinge.
It is especially true when the holes on both leaves are located directly across countersunk bolt dimensions each other.
For example, on half countersunk bolt dimensions hinges, there is no space for fastener heads when the hinge closes. Countersunk holes are common in this configuration.
Designed to be used as attachment point, particularly for something that is hung from it. A vine eye in the UK at least is similar to a screw eye, except that it has a proportionally countersunk bolt dimensions shank and smaller looped head.
As the term suggests vine eyes are often used for attaching wire lines across the surface of buildings so that climbing plants can attach themselves. Lag countersunk bolt dimensions are designed for securely fastening heavy timbers post and beamstimber railway trestles and bridges to one another, or to fasten wood to masonry or concrete.
Lag bolts are usually used with an expanding insert called a lag in masonry or concrete walls, the lag manufactured with a hard metal jacket that bites into the sides of the drilled hole, and the inner metal countersunk bolt dimensions the lag being a softer alloy of lead, or zinc alloyed with soft iron.
The coarse thread of a lag bolt and lag mesh and deform slightly making a secure near water tight anti-corroding mechanically strong fastening.

It is usually used to mount a mirror. They are sometimes notched countersunk bolt dimensions the tip to aid in chip removal during thread cutting. The shank is usually threaded up to the head.
